What is GSAW?

Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) recognizes the contributions, impact, and value of our graduate and professional students. The week is filled with a variety of free, virtual, and in-person events for graduate students, including workshops, wellness activities, and other special events.

GSAW at the TXST Recreation Center

The following opportunities will be free to graduate students during Graduate Student Appreciation Week.

Fitness Classes

Graduate students are usually able to attend group exercise classes for free. Group classes include Toning Express, Zumba, Cycle Power, Roll & Restore, Yoga Flow, and many more. Round Rock students can attend free yoga classes. During GSAW, graduate students will have a special opportunity to attend two four-o'clock classes (April 7 and 10).

Rock Climbing

The Texas State University Climbing Center offers a variety of clinics to enhance your climbing skills, including Top Rope Belay Clinics, Lead Climbing Clinics, and Introduction to Rock Climbing sessions. 

Outdoor Center Rentals

Outdoor Center Rentals will be free for graduate students during GSAW. Students can rent a kayak or tubes for the river (bring your Bobcat ID).
