*For Thesis or Non-Thesis students: The comprehensive exam deadline is for paperwork only. If your comprehensive examination is your thesis defense, it must be scheduled and completed by the defense deadlines listed above. Please work with your graduate advisor to make sure you meet all departmental deadlines and other degree requirements.
**For Thesis students: Per the Graduate Catalog, it is recommended that the thesis proposal form be submitted to the dean of The Graduate College by the end of the student's enrollment in Thesis 5399A. Failure to submit the thesis proposal in a timely fashion may result in delayed graduation. Keep in mind that submission of your Master's Thesis Proposal does not automatically equal dean approval. There are several factors that could cause processing delays such as the make-up of your committee, IRB concerns, missing documents, etc. If you have questions, please contact your program advisor or gcdegspcl@txstate.edu.
***The content of the committee-approved document cannot be changed after submission. Only formatting corrections may be made after the thesis or dissertation is submitted.
