Program Overview

Are you currently pursuing a graduate degree at another institution but found a graduate course offered at Texas State that's not available at your primary institution? If so, you can enroll in graduate courses at Texas State with the approval of the dean of The Graduate College, the graduate advisor*, and your primary institution. The intent of this program is for you to earn degree credit at Texas State that will transfer back to your primary institution; therefore, credit earned as a visiting student may not be eligible for Texas State degree programs should you decide to pursue one at a later time.

*Some departments/programs do not admit visiting students, and others may admit after evaluating course availability.
