Award Details
- Covers up to 21 credit hours per academic year
- Applies only to courses counted toward the doctoral degree
- Covers only tuition (fees are not included)
- Maximum of 3 years of total support. This limit does not reset if students:
- Change assistantship type
- Change their doctoral program
Eligibility Requirements
- be enrolled in a non-accelerated research doctoral program at Texas State University and hold an eligible assistantship with 50% time in an active appointment:
- DRA (Doctoral Research Assistant)
- DIA (Doctoral Instructional Assistant)
- DTA (Doctoral Teaching Assistant)
- DA (Doctoral Assistant)
- be taking courses applying to your doctoral degree
- be in good academic standing
- doctoral students holding master's level assistantships will NOT be eligible for the tuition scholarship.
Students will lose eligibility if they:
- Resign from their assistantship
- Are removed from their assistantship position
- Fall out of good academic standing
