Current Cycle Deadline Change Request Form

Instructions

Use this form if your program would like to submit a request to:

  • Temporarily extend the deadline for the current admissions cycle (when no incomplete applications have yet been denied), and/or
  • Close applications for the current admissions cycle (MUST BE PAST PROGRAM'S STANDARD DEADLINE)

This form must be submitted by the program's Department Chair or Graduate Advisor.

Temporarily Extend Deadline

This extension will allow potential applicants to start and submit new applications for the current cycle, not future terms. (If you would like to change your deadline for future terms, please submit a Permanent Deadline Change Request.)

New/Extended Deadlines

For all extensions, please indicate the new deadline date for each corresponding entry term and applicant population.

Example: To extend the deadline for spring entry out to October 1 for all applicants, enter "October 1" for the "Spring (U.S/Domestic)" deadline and "October 1" for the "Spring (International)" deadline.

Please do not extend deadline dates later than The Graduate College's FLEXIBLE deadlines:

  • Fall (U.S/Domestic): August 15
  • Fall (International): June 1
  • Spring (U.S/Domestic): December 15
  • Spring (International): October 1
  • Summer I (U.S/Domestic): May 15
  • Summer I (International): March 15
  • Summer II (U.S/Domestic): June 15
  • Summer II (International): (not available due to immigration restrictions)
No later than August 15
