
The Graduate College at Texas State University hosted the 16th annual Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC) at the San Marcos Campus on April 8, 2025, during Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
Over 80 graduate students from various disciplines at Texas State University presented original research findings and other projects through poster presentations.
The conference opened on April 8, 2025, with welcome remarks from Dr. Kelly Damphousse, President of Texas State University and Dr. Andrea Golato, Dean of The Graduate College. A panel of award-winning and student-supportive faculty spoke on the following topic: “Navigating the Research Journey: Tips and Strategies for Graduate Students.” The panel was moderated by the Graduate House leader, Elisa Descartez, a graduate student in the criminal justice doctoral program.

- Dr. Melissa Martinez, Professor & Coordinator, Educational and Community Leadership
- Dr. Donna Vandiver, Associate Dean of The Graduate College and Professor, Criminal Justice
The Graduate College thanks the faculty members who served as faculty respondents, as well as those who supported the graduate students in their research.
