Jingle Bell 2017

Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K and 1K Jingle Bell Run

The day was sunny and brisk for the 2018 Sights and Sounds of Christmas 5K! Spirits were high and bright for the race as runner after runner appeared decked out with holiday-inspired tutus, headbands, hats, running tights, and, most importantly, their Running With the Graduate Deans shirts! A grand total of 34 race participants showed up to support The Graduate College cause – raising money for graduate scholarships – which marks the most ever for the wellness and community program. (A record number also turned out for the carb-loading lunch the day before.) A total of $1050 was raised (which includes one runner who beat the grad deans!), bringing the yearly total to $2,335 (which doesn't even count the $1,825 raised by the Deans Going the Distance crowdfunding campaign!). Oh, what fun, indeed!
