Country Roads 10K 2018

Rain…in fact, torrential rain, combined with thunder and lightning! That’s what we woke up to on race day. The deans were both up very early in order to monitor the current weather, road conditions and forecasts for San Marcos, Austin, and I-35. Things grew progressively worse. As a result, and quite understandably, several of our regular runners reached out to let us know that they would not be coming. Given that our own neighborhoods were flooded and that driving conditions between Austin and San Marcos were too treacherous, we canceled the Running with the Deans event. Safety must come first!  However, shortly before the start of the run, the weather had improved and a few hearty souls had actually made it to the start line (and then to the finish).  Congratulations, Intrepid Runners, you raised $210!
